Abstract


Application of Sociodrama Technique in Group Guidance to Improve Interpersonal Communication Skills of Students of SMK Negeri 8 Makassar. This study examines the Application of Sociodrama Techniques in Group Guidance to Improve Interpersonal Communication Skills of Makassar Vocational High School 8 Students. The main problems of this study are (1) What is the description of the implementation of sociodrama techniques in group guidance in improving students' interpersonal communication skills at Makassar Vocational High School 8? (2) Can the application of sociodrama techniques in group guidance improve students' interpersonal communication skills at Makassar Vocational High School 8? The purpose of this study was to (1) Know the description of the implementation of sociodrama techniques in group guidance in improving students' interpersonal communication skills at Makassar State Vocational High School 8. (2) Knowing whether there is an effect of the application of sociodrama techniques in group guidance in improving students' interpersonal communication skills at Makassar State Vocational High School 8.

This research method uses a qualitative approach. This type of classroom action research (classroom action research) is carried out in two cycles with the stages of implementation which includes planning, implementing actions, observing and reflecting on a cycle basis. The subjects in this study were 30 grade X students of SMK Negeri 8 Makassar in the academic year 2018/2019. Data collection techniques through questionnaires, and observations. Data analysis uses analysis of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion.

The results showed that: (1) The implementation of sociodrama techniques in group guidance was carried out in two cycles, namely cycle 1 and cycle 2, each meeting was held twice through the stages of planning, implementation, evaluation and observation, and reflection. Each meeting of sociodrama techniques in the guidance of groups of students followed enthusiastically and actively participated in group activities. (2) The level of interpersonal communication skills of class X students of SMK Negeri 8 Makassar in the initial conditions are generally in the low category. After the implementation of the sociodrama technique in group guidance showed a significant change. In the first cycle, the general tendency of students' interpersonal communication skills was in the medium category. In the second cycle there was an increase in interpersonal communication skills to the high category. That is, if the sociodrama technique in the guidance of this group is applied it can help improve interpersonal communication skills of class X students of SMK Negeri 8 Makassar.
