Abstract

The issue of distribution has been one of the most prominent economic concerns affecting populations worldwide from the past to the present. The realities of life reveal persistent disparities, particularly the unequal distribution of wealth, which has become a major source of both individual and social conflict within communities. This study aims to examine the concept and principles of wealth distribution from an Islamic perspective. It employs a library research design with a descriptive qualitative method, using a critical analytical approach to assess social phenomena occurring within society. These observations are then elaborated upon in light of Islamic economic concepts and principles of wealth distribution, producing findings that are expected to offer potential solutions to global economic challenges, particularly in addressing inequities in wealth distribution. The results indicate that wealth distribution in the framework of Islamic economics emphasizes social responsibility and collective benefit through the equitable allocation of goods and services, as well as income and wealth distribution. The principles of distributive justice, equal opportunity, and social solidarity serve as the operational foundation. The distribution mechanisms include productive zakat, productive waqf, qard ḥasan, and shariah blended finance, supported by multi-stakeholder governance and digital technology. The integrated model, comprising social safety nets, productive empowerment, and sustainable social infrastructure, offers a comprehensive solution for equitable Islamic economic distribution.
