Pengujian Batu Bara (Fine Coal) Sebagai Bahan Bakar Pembuatan Klinker Pada Laboratorium Quality Control Unit Tonasa IV PT Semen Tonasa Kabupaten Pangkep
Abstract
PT Semen Tonasa is the largest cement producer in Eastern Indonesia. PT Semen Tonasa uses coal as a raw material in the clinker production process in cement making. Coal is a sedimentary rock composed of parts of plants that have been destroyed and lithified. Coal has special specifications and standards for its use as fuel, coal that does not meet standards will produce low quality clinker. This paper aims to determine the fine coal testing technique and understand the methods used to ensure the quality of products produced at the quality control unit IV of PT Semen Tonasa, Pangkep Regency. The analysis parameters used in fine coal include residue testing and water content testing. The results obtained must be in accordance with the standards set by SNI and company standards, the standard for residue testing with a 0.090 mm sieve is a maximum of 28.00% and a 0.200 mm sieve is 3.00%. Water content testing follows company standards with a maximum fine coal water content of 20.00%. The results obtained are in accordance with the standards set, so they do not affect the quality of the clinker produced.
