Abstract

The industrial visit to PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk Makassar Unit was conducted as an effort to improve students' understanding of the animal feed production process and the implementation of quality control sistems. Feed quality is a crucial factor in supporting broiler productivity, which is greatly influenced by the quality of raw materials and a controlled production process. The methods used in this activity included observation, interviews, documentation, and simple laboratory analysis of feed quality parameters, such as air content and protein content. The results showed that the feed production process is carried out sistematically, starting from raw material receipt, storage, processing, and laboratory testing, with the implementation of quality control at each stage. Optimal quality control has been proven to play a role in maintaining the consistent quality of the resulting feed. In addition, this activity provides a practice-based learning experience that enables students to understand the relationship between theoretical concepts and their application in the industrial world.
