STRATEGI OTORITAS JASA KEUANGAN (OJK) DALAM MENINGKATKAN PENGAWASAN PADA BAITUL MAAL WAT TAMWIL

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi masalah yang dihadapi Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) terhadap pelaksanaan tugasnya, terutama dalam hal pengawasan dan strategi untuk meningkatkan pengawasan terhadap kegiatan di Industri BMT. Penelitian ini bersifat normatif dan mengungkap beberapa masalah penting yang dihadapi OJK dalam pengawasan. Pertama, program-program OJK, seperti Layanan Konsumen Terintegrasi OJK, tidak selalu diawasi dengan baik. Kedua, peraturan harus diperbaiki dan pengawasan yang lebih ketat diperlukan untuk memastikan kepatuhan. OJK merumuskan dua strategi utama pada tahun 2023 untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut: menyelesaikan masalah Lembaga Jasa Keuangan Nonbank (LJKNB) dan meningkatkan pengawasan di sektor Industri Keuangan Nonbank (IKNB). Mengingat BMT adalah lembaga, strategi ini juga diterapkan dalam pengawasan lembaganya.

Abstract
This study aims to evaluate the problems faced by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) in carrying out its duties, especially in terms of supervision and strategies to improve supervision of activities in the BMT Industry. This research is normative in nature and reveals several important problems faced by OJK in supervision. First, OJK programs, such as OJK's Integrated Consumer Services, are not always well supervised. Second, regulations must be improved and stricter supervision is needed to ensure compliance. OJK formulated two main strategies in 2023 to address these issues: resolving Nonbank Financial Services Institutions (LJKNB) issues and improving supervision in the Nonbank Financial Industry (IKNB) sector. Given that BMT is an institution, these strategies are also applied in the supervision of the institution.
