PEMBINAAN SUMBER DAYA MANUSIA MELALUI MENTORING DALAM MENINGKATKAN KUALITAS SANTRI ALIYAH DI PONDOK PESANTREN DARUS SA’ADAH AS-ADIYAH LANCIRANG KABUPATEN SIDRAP
Abstract
The main problem of this research is how is the mentoring process in improving the quality of students at PP Darus Sa'adah As-adiyah Lancirang? Which then gave birth to several sub-problems or research questions, namely: (1) How is the implementation of mentoring in human resource development at PP Darus Sa'adah As-Adiyah Lancirang, Sidrap Regency? (2) What are the inhibiting factors and supporting factors for the implementation of mentoring in improving the quality of students at PP darus Sa'adah As-adiyah Lancirang, Sidrap Regency?. This type of research is classified as qualitative with the research approach used being the human resource management approach. The data sources for this research are Pondok Leaders, Madrasah Heads, Teachers (mentors), and students. The data collection methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data processing and analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn.
The results of this study show that the process of implementing mentoring in improving the quality of students can be carried out through several stages, including: (a) Determination of mentoring goals, (b) recruitment and training of mentors, (c) stages of implementing mentoring, (d) evaluation. And also from the inhibiting factors and supporting factors for the implementation of mentoring, including: supporting factors include (a) Support from the leadership of the boarding school and parents of students, and (b) the enthusiasm of mentors in guiding individual students. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are (a) students who are not enthusiastic about participating in mentoring, (b) lack of existing mentors, and (c) lack of time given for mentoring activities due to the busy daily schedule of students.
The implication of this study is: it is necessary to hold an evaluation for mentors regarding how to approach students individually in order to increase the enthusiasm of students in participating in the implementation of mentoring and can also foster enthusiasm for students in pursuing knowledge.
