SISTEM PENETAPAN HARGA IKAN BERDASARKAN MUSIM DI TPI LAPPA KABUPATEN SINJAI
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the pricing system of fish based on seasonal changes at the Fish Auction Place (TPI) Lappa, Sinjai Regency, and to assess its compliance with the principles of Islamic economic law. Significant price fluctuations between harvest and off seasons raise concerns about fairness and balance in fish trading transactions. This research employs a qualitative approach using field study methods.
Data were collected through interviews with seller and buyers, as well as through documentation and direct observation. The findings reveal that the pricing system is largely determined by market mechanisms, with supply and demand as the main factors. However, certain practices, such as hoarding and price speculation by some parties.
Deviate from the principles of justice in Islamic economic law, Such practices contradict the values of al-‘adl (justice), at-tawaduh (transparency), and the prohibition of ihtikar (hoarding). Therefore, more active intervention from TPI management and local authorities is necessary to establish a fair pricing system grounded in Islamic values.
