Abstract

The study aims to describe the implementation of strategies employed by the Nurul Jihad Mosque Youth Organization and to identify the challenges and supporting factors in the development of youth leadership.

The method used is descriptive qualitative research with an Islamic da‘wah studies approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and then analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, with data validity ensured through triangulation.

The results show that youth leadership development is carried out through religious guidance, leadership and organizational training, active involvement in mosque management and activities, as well as social and community service programs. These strategies are able to cultivate a sense of responsibility, cooperation, discipline, and self-confidence among the youth. The challenges encountered include limited time, low consistency of participation, and external environmental influences, while the supporting factors consist of support from mosque administrators, a conducive environment, and a strong sense of togetherness among mosque youth.

The implications of this study reinforce the concept of da‘wah and the management of mosque youth development as a means of leadership development based on Islamic values and serve as a practical reference for planning sustainable youth leadership development programs.
