Implementasi Program Rohi Cerdas Pada Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (Baznas) Kabupaten Rokan Hilir

Abstract

This study analyzes the implementation of the Smart Rohil Program run by the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of Rokan Hilir Regency as an effort to utilize productive zakat in improving the quality of education and public welfare. The Smart Rohil Program is a strategic initiative that focuses on community empowerment through education with various approaches such as providing learning facilities and infrastructure, improving the competence of educators, implementing learning technology, providing scholarships, and developing vocational education that is tailored to the needs of local industries. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the program in achieving the stated goals and provide recommendations for optimizing zakat management effectively and efficiently. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study, in its implementation, still found various obstacles such as disparities in the quality of education between urban and rural areas, limited infrastructure and technology, and uneven distribution of assistance due to lack of socialization and information to prospective mustahiq.
