Abstract

This study aims to analyze Islamic leadership strategies in managing the Mannilingi Bulo-Bulo Islamic Boarding School (Pondok Pesantren) in Arungkeke District, Jeneponto Regency, and to identify the supporting and inhibiting factors involved. The study employs a qualitative approach from a strategic management perspective. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis involving the school's leadership, the *madrasah* principal, teachers, and staff. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the implemented leadership strategies include integrating the boarding school curriculum, enhancing educator competence, and adopting an adaptive leadership style. Supporting factors include internal institutional support and the availability of facilities and infrastructure, while inhibiting factors include a shortage of educators and low student discipline. These findings demonstrate that the effectiveness of leadership strategies is influenced by the institution's internal and external conditions, as well as the importance of synergy among the boarding school, the community, and the students' parents.
