The Influence of Lifestyle, Income, and Financial Literacy on Religiosity and Consumptive Behavior Among Generation Z

This study discusses the relationship between socio economic factors and consumer behavior in generation Z, especially those who use the Shopee Pay Later feature. This study aims to analyze the direct and indirect influence between lifestyle, income, and financial literacy on religiosity and consumptive behavior of generation Z users of Shopee PayLater among Muslim students in Makassar. The type of research used is expansive research with a quantitative descriptive approach . Using primary data of 120 respondents through questionnaires. The results of the analysis were carried out using the Structural Equation Model (SEM) , this study found that Lifestyle and Income have a significant positive effect on the religiosity of generation Z users of the Shopee PayLater feature , while financial literacy has a negative but significant effect. Furthermore, lifestyle and financial literacy have a positive and significant effect on consumptive behavior, while Income has a negative effect on consumptive behavior. Religiosity also has a positive effect on consumptive behavior. These findings answer the research problem regarding the influence of socio-economic factors on religiosity and consumer behavior of students, and provide insight regarding the importance of wise financial management and a lifestyle in accordance with sharia principles.
