IMPLEMENTATION OF ONLINE-BASED NEW STUDENT ADMISSION AT TAHFIZH JAMI’UL QURRA ISLAMIC BOARDING SCHOOL
Abstract
This study aims to describe the implementation of online-based new student admission (PPDB) at Pondok Pesantren Tahfizh Jami’ul Qurra. This research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews, direct observations, and document analysis. The collected data were analyzed thematically to identify patterns related to efficiency, transparency, and technical challenges. The validity of the findings was ensured through data triangulation from various sources. The findings indicate that the online PPDB system enhances accessibility, transparency, and efficiency in registration and data management. However, challenges remain, such as the risk of administrative errors, delays in payment verification, and low digital literacy among users. Therefore, a more comprehensive technological integration is required to improve this process, with recommendations for developing a more user-friendly system, enhancing infrastructure, and providing training for prospective students and parents.
