Abstract

Certified teachers play a crucial role in improving the quality of education, particularly in teaching, student motivation, and the effectiveness of guidance. This study aims to analyze the role of certified teachers’ performance on students’ learning outcomes at MITQ Azhar Center Makassar. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and verification. The results show that certified teachers demonstrate better competence in designing innovative learning strategies, motivating students, and conducting more accurate assessments. They are also able to implement project-based and technology-based learning methods that have a positive impact on student engagement in the learning process. In addition, certified teachers are more effective in providing academic and non-academic guidance, helping students overcome learning difficulties, and enhancing learner independence. These findings indicate that teacher certification contributes to improving the quality of education; therefore, sustainable policies are needed to increase both the number and quality of certified teachers in educational institutions.
