This study examines the implementation of human resource management in improving the performance of classroom teachers at SD Inpres Tinggimae, Gowa Regency. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation and interview techniques. The informants in this study included the principal, teachers, students, and parents of students. Data processing and analysis were carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Technique and source triangulation were used to test the validity of the data. The results of the study indicate that the overall implementation of human resource management at SD Inpres Tinggimae, Gowa, has shown fairly good outcomes, with the availability of adequate teaching and educational staff in both quantity and quality, effective leadership support from the school principal, as well as clear task distribution and the implementation of performance appraisal that has a positive impact on improving school quality. Teacher performance is generally categorized as good; however, improvements are still needed in learning innovation, the utilization of technology, and the development of more comprehensive evaluation instruments. The implementation of various management aspects, such as teacher placement based on deliberation, continuous training through Teacher Working Groups (KKG) and government programs, as well as the provision of compensation in accordance with workload, also serves as driving factors in improving teacher performance. Nevertheless, limitations in facilities, budget, and variations in teacher competencies remain challenges that require attention. Therefore, the optimization of supporting factors and the mitigation of obstacles through targeted policies and continuous training are essential to support the improvement of educational quality at the school.
