This study discusses the concept of strategic management formulation and its practice in Islamic educational institutions. The purpose of this research is to identify the concept of strategic management formulation and its implementation in Islamic educational institutions in greater detail. This study employs a qualitative research approach through a literature review by utilizing various relevant sources and data. The data collection technique is based on reviewing findings from multiple sources, including scientific journals, books, e-books, and internet-based references. After analyzing the data, the researcher interprets and presents the results using a qualitative descriptive method. The main focus of this study includes strategy formulation in the context of Islamic educational institutions, the relationship between vision, mission, and objectives with strategic formulation, SWOT analysis in the context of Islamic educational institutions, strategy implementation in curriculum and instruction, parental involvement in supporting Islamic education strategies, as well as ethics and values in strategy formulation and implementation. The findings indicate that strategy formulation in the context of Islamic educational institutions is a complex process involving a series of managerial decisions and actions that include formulation, implementation, and evaluation activities, both in the short and long term.
