Abstract

This study focuses on the implementation of the Digital Report Card for Madrasahs (RDM) at MTs Tahfidzul Qur'an Azhar Center Makassar, an innovation initiated by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia to improve the quality of educational management in madrasahs. The RDM is designed to simplify the processing of student grades, enhance administrative efficiency, and support transparency in learning assessment. This research adopts a qualitative approach to examine various aspects of RDM implementation, including its processes, perceived benefits, and challenges encountered. The findings reveal that the implementation of RDM has brought significant positive impacts, particularly in terms of administrative efficiency and accuracy in grade processing. Teachers have benefited from reduced administrative workloads, while the madrasah principal can monitor data in real-time. Additionally, RDM facilitates parents in accessing information about their children's academic performance, although direct access via a portal still requires improvement. However, the study also identifies several challenges, such as limitations in technological infrastructure that sometimes hinder the smooth operation of the system and the need for ongoing training to improve teachers’ and staff’s proficiency in using the technology. Another challenge lies in the synchronization of data from the EMIS system, which has yet to be fully optimized. To ensure the sustainability and optimization of RDM, continuous support from the madrasah and the Ministry of Religious Affairs is crucial. This includes improving infrastructure, developing a more reliable system, and providing continuous training for all system users. RDM has the potential to serve as a transformative tool in improving the quality of education in madrasahs on a broader scale.
