Abstract

This study aims to examine the optimization of educational facilities and infrastructure governance from the perspective of sustainable management. Educational facilities and infrastructure are essential components in supporting the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process and achieving educational quality. However, their management in many educational institutions continues to face various challenges, including limited budgets, inadequate managerial competencies, and weak planning and maintenance systems. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a literature review method by analyzing books, scholarly journal articles, and relevant policy documents. The findings indicate that effective governance of educational facilities and infrastructure should be grounded in the principles of transparency, accountability, efficiency, participation, and sustainability. Furthermore, the utilization of digital technology, data-driven planning, and the implementation of the green school concept are identified as key strategies for optimizing the use of educational facilities. Effective governance is expected to support the continuous improvement of learning quality and promote sustainable educational development.
