This study was conducted to examine the effect of the implementation of the independent curriculum and project-based learning on improving the quality of education report cards at SMPIT Insan Cendekia Makassar, both partially and simultaneously. The study applied a quantitative approach with an ex post facto research type. The study population of 86 students was sampled through a total sampling technique. Data were collected using questionnaires and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive statistics, simple linear regression, and multiple linear regression using SPSS version 29 software. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis, the three research variables were in the moderate category. The implementation of the independent curriculum obtained an average score of 63.60, project-based learning had an average of 49.02, while the education quality report card reached an average score of 61.90. The implementation of the independent curriculum had a positive effect on improving the education quality report card, but was not statistically significant with a contribution of 7.4%. Project-based learning had a positive and significant effect on improving the education quality report card with a contribution of 13.5%. The research results also show that the simultaneous implementation of the Merdeka curriculum and project-based learning had a positive and significant impact on improving the education quality report, with project-based learning as the variable with the greatest influence. This study concludes that improving education quality will be more optimal if the Merdeka curriculum implementation is supported by quality project-based learning. The implications of this research demonstrate the importance of strengthening teacher competencies through the development of differentiated learning, the application of contextual project-based learning, and the use of the Education Report as a basis for developing sustainable school quality improvement programs.
