The study of the authenticity of hadith from a Sufi perspective is an attempt to understand the relationship between the exoteric and esoteric dimensions of Islamic teachings. In the Islamic scholarly tradition, hadith is viewed as a source of teachings after the Qur'an that requires verification of sanad and matan through the methodology of hadith science. However, in the view of Sufis, the authenticity of hadith is not only measured by the validity of sanad, but also through dzauq (spiritual experience), the meaningful conformity with the principle of monotheism, and the moral values of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method on classical Sufi works such as al-Ghazali, Ibn 'Arabi, and al-Hakim al-Tirmidhi, as well as normative hadith literature. The results show that the Sufi perspective expands the meaning of hadith authenticity from mere historical validity to spiritual authenticity that emphasizes the inner dimension of the Prophet's sunnah. The authenticity of hadith in Sufism is oriented towards the actualization of divine meaning and the formation of spiritual awareness, not only on textual verification. The difference between hadith scholars and Sufi scholars regarding the authenticity of hadith lies in the concept of Talaqqy (the meeting of narrators to test the continuity of the chain of transmission). Sufi scholars believe that Talaqqy bi al-Ruhi can be used as a guideline, while hadith scholars reject it. These findings contribute to the dialogue between hadith epistemology and contemporary Islamic spirituality.
