About the Journal

Jurnal Informatika Sains dan Teknologi (INSTEK) is a peer-reviewed open-access journal published biannually (April & October) by the Department of Informatics Engineering, Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Alauddin Makassar, Indonesia. Established in 2016, INSTEK publishes original research in information technology, computer science, computer engineering, information systems, and software engineering.

INSTEK is accredited SINTA 3 (2024–2029) by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology (Decree No. 295/C/C3/KPT/2026) and registered with BRIN (p-ISSN: 2541-1179, e-ISSN: 2581-1711) and Crossref (DOI prefix: 10.24252/instek). All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process and may be written in English or Bahasa Indonesia.

Jurnal INSTEK welcomes submissions for its "Selected Papers" track, scheduled for publication in the upcoming issue. To qualify, manuscripts must be written in English and feature at least one international co-author (affiliated outside Indonesia). If your paper meets these criteria, please contact our representative to reserve a place in the Selected Papers quota.
