Abstract
In the Islamic economic system, it is known as cooperation that uses a profit-sharing system, the system is part of the form of cooperation between providers of capital and managers who have expertise that is shared based on mutual agreement. Profit-sharing cooperation in Islam is called mudharabah, which is a business cooperation contract between two parties where the first party provides capital, while the other party becomes the manager. In practice, the cooperation between ship owners and fishermen is carried out by verbal agreement. However, profit-sharing practices are often encountered which cause problems because the profit-sharing agreement is not in writing due to the weakness of the agreement made so that it is not uncommon for one party to feel disadvantaged. Based on these problems, the authors are interested in researching further about the profit-sharing system between ship owners and fishermen, especially in Tamalate Village. Humans as social beings (zoon politicon) as stated by Aristotle, cannot be separated from help and interaction between others. One way to be able to interact with each other is to do muamalah in accordance with the guidance of syara'. Furthermore, it was formulated into a scientific paper with the title "Review of Islamic Law on the Profit Sharing System of Ship Owners and Fishermen in Tamalate Village, North Galesong District, Takalar Regency".
