Abstract

Abstract

The increasing number of thrifting transactions labeled as preloved on the X application has raised consumer protection issues, particularly related to misleading product information. Many sellers misuse the preloved label to enhance the selling value of thrifting goods, potentially causing consumer losses. This study aims to analyze the implementation of consumer protection in thrifting transactions labeled as preloved from the perspective of Islamic Economic Law. This research employs a field research method with a qualitative approach, using interviews with consumers on the X application and supported by literature studies. The findings indicate that the misuse of the preloved label does not fully comply with the principles of honesty and transparency required in Islamic Economic Law. Consumer protection has not been optimally implemented due to weak supervision and low awareness among sellers. Therefore, it is necessary to enhance seller education and strengthen the role of the platform in supervising transactions to ensure justice and public welfare for consumers.
