Abstract
Humans as social beings are creatures who always live in society and always need the help of others, to be together in meeting the needs of their lives in society. Therefore, humans are always in touch with each other. The relationship between one human being and another human being in meeting needs must have clear rules between the rights and obligations of both based on an agreement. Pawn (rahn) is an agreement to hand over assets by the owner as the person who pays the receivables, either in whole or only in part. Pawn contracts are mostly carried out by the community in order to meet the needs or help each other among those who are in dire need, by providing guarantees in the form of money so that they can be trusted or dependents if the person who pawns the goods cannot pay their debts. This has become a tradition in the Lere Jaya village community, which is predominantly Muslim. But in reality there are pawn practices in society that are not in accordance with Islamic teachings.
