3) Pola konsumsi mahasiswa: 7% responden mengalokasikan dana tertinggi Rp600.000-700.000, 53% responden kategori rata-rata Rp100.000-200.000, 13% responden kategori paling rendah Rp50.000-100.000 per bulan, dengan intensitas pembelian rata-rata satu kali per bulan.

Abstract
Halal cosmetics are beneficial in maintaining healthy skin, providing a sense of safety and comfort, and do not violate religious principles. Conversely, the use of non-halal cosmetics has the potential to cause health risks, unclear ingredient safety, and discomfort. Therefore, the author is interested in examining this phenomenon in the student environment. This study aims to determine the perspectives, motives, and consumption patterns of students towards halal cosmetics. This study uses a field research type with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and questionnaires, and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The research subjects were 15 students from various study programs. The results of the study indicate that: 1) From the perspective of students towards halal cosmetics, respondents are able to define the indicators of halal cosmetics, although they are still separate and not comprehensive; respondents are able to explain the advantages of halal cosmetics, although partially and not holistically. 2) Students' motives in choosing halal cosmetics: 60% of respondents stated that their motives were safety, comfort, health benefits, long-term use, and compliance with religious principles; 38% of respondents chose because of product quality assurance and halal certification; discounts and trends were not the main considerations. 3) Student consumption patterns: 7% of respondents allocated the highest funds of Rp600,000-700,000, 53% of respondents in the average category of Rp100,000-200,000, 13% of respondents in the lowest category of Rp50,000-100,000 per month, with an average purchase intensity of once per month. Further research is recommended to expand the number of respondents and relate it to other research variables, as well as carry out different research approaches.
