Abstract
The rapid growth of the global culinary industry, particularly Japanese Food, has significantly expanded in Indonesia, including in Jambi City, influencing the consumption patterns of Muslim Generation Z who integrate religious values with modern lifestyles. This study aims to analyze the effect of halal labeling, religiosity awareness, and brand image on Japanese Food preferences among Muslim Generation Z in Jambi City. The research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method involving 108 respondents selected through accidental sampling. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that halal labeling and brand image have a positive and significant effect on Japanese Food preferences, while religiosity awareness does not have a significant effect. Simultaneously, the three variables significantly influence consumer preferences, with a coefficient of determination of 67.9%. Brand image emerges as the most dominant factor in shaping consumption preferences. These results suggest that Japanese Food preferences among Muslim Generation Z are more strongly influenced by marketing aspects and brand perception than by personal religiosity. The findings provide practical implications for culinary businesses and policymakers in developing more effective halal-based marketing strategies
