Islamic Accounting and Finance Review (ISAFIR) was established by the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar as a scientific publication platform dedicated to advancing research in accounting, finance, auditing, governance, and Islamic financial studies.

The journal was founded in response to the growing need for a high-quality scholarly forum that integrates contemporary accounting and finance research with Islamic ethical values, governance principles, and sustainable development.
