Perbedaan Penyebutan Lafal Allah dalam Penyebutan Tarqiq dan Tafkhim Pada Anak Usia Dini dan Menegah

Abstract

The pronunciation of the name of Allah holds significant significance in the beliefs, practices, and spiritual expressions of Muslim communities. However, in reality, there are differences in the understanding and use of the name, both in ritual contexts, daily interactions, and in the media. This study aims to examine the various forms of pronunciation of the name of Allah, understand the theological and linguistic foundations underlying them, and identify problems that arise from errors in pronunciation. This qualitative study aims to obtain information regarding errors in pronunciation of Lafzul Jalalah by preschool and elementary school children at the Al-Muttaqin Mosque, Makassar. The subjects consisted of four preschool children and three elementary school children. Data were collected through a pronunciation test that included observation, recording, and note-taking to identify errors in pronunciation of Lafzul Jalalah found in the Qur'an. The study findings indicate two categories of pronunciation errors made by students: tafkhim errors and tarqiq errors. Tafkhim errors were the most common. The cause of these errors does not stem from a lack of knowledge of the rules, but rather from their age limitations, resulting in suboptimal sound production. Therefore, the conclusion is that errors in the pronunciation of Lafzul Jalalah occur due to the limitations of pronunciation at that age, not simply due to a lack of knowledge of the rules of pronunciation as a whole.
