About the Journal
Journal of Spatial Transformation (JST) is a Journal of Science in the Field of Regional and Urban Planning published by the Department of Regional and Urban Planning at Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar. It is an open-access, peer-reviewed scientific journal focusing on the study and practice of urban and regional planning and its related disciplines. The journal serves as a platform for academics, researchers, and practitioners to share knowledge, ideas, and innovations that contribute to sustainable spatial development.
JST welcomes original research articles, case studies, and review papers addressing a broad range of spatial issues, including but not limited to: urban planning, regional development, tourism planning, transportation planning, disaster management, coastal spatial planning, housing and settlement development, agropolitan and rural planning, as well as spatial policy and governance.The journal aims to foster critical discussions and interdisciplinary collaboration to support the transformation of spatial systems toward more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable futures. Accepted articles can take the form of conceptual ideas or the results of individual or group research, typed in Times New Roman font with single spacing in A4 format, with a word range between 3000 and 4000 words (writing techniques adjusted to international standards) or a maximum of 15 pages. Submissions should include a brief author/researcher biography. The editorial board reserves the right to edit submissions in the form of a review without altering the substantial material and to determine acceptance or rejection.
