Burhan in QS. Yusuf/12:24 and Self-Regulation: A Head–Heart–Hand Reading for Generation Z’s Moral Resilience against Sexual Temptation in the Digital Era

The technological disruption of the 21st century has significantly impacted adolescent morality, including shifts in how romantic relationships and affection are expressed. This study aims to formulate a self-defense mechanism for Generation Z to maintain spirituality against contemporary temptations. The approach integrates the 3H (Head, Heart, Hand) concept representing cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains with the meaning of Burhan in Surah Yusuf/12:24. Based on a textual analysis of the story of Prophet Yusuf and Zulaikha, Burhan is interpreted as a profound spiritual awareness and a manifestation of self-regulation in critical moments. The implementation of this model involves three aspects: Head (cognitive understanding of religious laws) , Heart (emotional regulation through spirituality and mindfulness) , and Hand (concrete psychomotor actions to avoid wrongdoing and focus on productivity). This study concludes that the integration of the 3H concept and Burhan serves as a continuous self-regulation shield for Generation Z to uphold moral integrity in the digital era.
