Abstract

This study aims to analyze government policies on the supervision of Cryptocurrency investment in Indonesia and examine such policies from the perspective of Siyasah Syar’iyyah. The research focuses on the regulatory framework and supervisory mechanisms established by the government for cryptocurrency trading, as well as their conformity with the principles of Siyasah Syar’iyyah. This study employs a qualitative method with a library research design. Data were obtained through an examination of laws and regulations, government policies, scholarly literature, and other relevant sources concerning cryptocurrency investment supervision. The findings indicate that the government, through the Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency (Bappebti), has issued Bappebti Regulation Number 13 of 2022 concerning Guidelines for the Implementation of Physical Trading of Crypto Assets on Futures Exchanges. This regulation establishes criteria and a list of crypto assets eligible for trading through a strict selection process that considers technical aspects, market adoption, and market capitalization. The policy aims to protect the public from crypto assets that may lack utility and potentially cause financial losses. From the perspective of Siyasah Syar’iyyah, the policy is consistent with the principles of public welfare (maslahah), prevention of harm (mafsadah), public protection, and justice in cryptocurrency trading.
