The Effect of Learning Activeness on Students' Learning Outcomes in the Subject of Islamic Cultural History in Madrasah Aliyah: A Quantitative Study

The purpose of this study is to analyze and examine the impact of students’ learning activeness on their learning outcomes in the subject of Islamic Cultural History at MAN 1 Soppeng. The research employed a quantitative ex post facto approach with a descriptive regression design. The population consisted of 820 students, with a sample of 82 students determined through proportionate stratified random sampling. The findings revealed that most students’ learning activeness was in the medium category (84%), while their learning outcomes were also predominantly in the medium category (53%). Regression analysis indicated that learning activeness had a significant effect on learning outcomes, with a t value of 2.154 > t table value of 1.990 at the 0.05 significance level. These results suggest that the higher the students’ learning activeness, the better their learning outcomes. The implications of this study highlight the importance of students’ active participation in the learning process, teachers’ innovation in instructional strategies, and the school’s role in creating a learning environment that supports the enhancement of both activeness and learning outcomes
