Abstract

The main problem of this research is the contribution of PT. Vale Indonesia Tbk. through its SDGs-based pineapple agrotourism program in Tabarano Village, Wasuponda District, East Luwu Regency. This research has two research questions: 1) How does PT. Vale Indonesia Tbk. and the village government contribute to the pineapple agrotourism program? 2) How can the SDGs-based pineapple agrotourism program be maintained sustainably. This study employed a qualitative research method. It employed a community development approach. Primary data was obtained through observation, interviews with the Manager of Security Services and Asset Protection and two senior employees coordinating PTPM (livelihood coordination) PT. Vale Indonesia Tbk., three work teams, two management teams, the Village Head, the Hamlet Head of Tabarano Village, and one visitor, as well as direct field documentation. Secondary data was obtained through literature review in the form of books, journals, the internet, PT. Vale Indonesia Tbk. modules, and other reading sources related to the research. The results of the study indicate that: 1) Strategic collaboration between PT. Vale Indonesia Tbk. and the Tabarano Village Government through the Pineapple Agrotourism program aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8, decent work and economic growth, and SDG 9, strengthening industry, innovation, and infrastructure. 2) A good relationship between the Tabarano Village Government, PT. Vale Indonesia Tbk., and the local community is the right step to ensure the sustainability of independent pineapple agrotourism. The implications of this research are: 1) PT. Vale is expected to replicate the integrated agrotourism model and immediately implement an inclusive exit strategy. 2) The Tabarano Village Government needs to establish a Regionally-Owned Enterprise (BUMDes) and Village Regulation (PerDes) specifically to manage pineapple agrotourism transparently for program sustainability
