Pelaksanaan Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) Dalam Meningkatkan Kesejahteraan Masyarakat Di Kelurahan Pabiringa, Kecamatan Binamu Kabupaten Jeneponto

Abstract

The main problem in this study is to analyze the implementation of the Family Hope Program (PKH) in improving the welfare of beneficiary communities in Pabiringa Village, Binamu District, Jeneponto Regency. The following questions then present the substance of the problem, namely: 1) How successful is the Family Hope Program (PKH) in improving the welfare of the community in Pabiringa Village, Binamu District? 2) What obstacles are faced in implementing the Family Hope Program (PKH) in Pabiringa Village, Binamu District?. This study uses a qualitative research type with a sociological and social welfare approach. The research informants consist of 1) the Head of the PKH Coordinator, 2) the Village Officials, 3) the Beneficiary Families (KPM), and 4) the Beneficiaries. Data were obtained from primary and secondary data through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques were conducted through three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the data analysis indicate that the implementation of the Family Hope Program (PKH) in improving community welfare in Pabiringa Village, Binamu District, Jeneponto Regency has had a positive impact. This is evident in the increasing economic welfare of the community, the utilization of Family Hope Program (PKH) assistance by beneficiary families, and the impact of the PKH program on improving community welfare. Obstacles encountered in PKH implementation include: a lack of understanding among some communities regarding the program's objectives, obstacles in data collection and targeting beneficiaries, and obstacles to the active participation of beneficiary families (KPM) in PKH assistance. The implications of this research are that the village government is expected to continue improving the quality of assistance provided to beneficiaries. The local government is expected to use this information as an evaluation tool in formulating more comprehensive poverty alleviation policies. Beneficiary families are expected to avoid using PKH assistance as a primary source of income, which can lead to dependency. This assistance should be utilized as a stimulus to improve the family's quality of life through better financial management.
