About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Lentera Pendidikan : Jurnal Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan aims to provide a forum for researchers in education, especially from Islamic studies to publish the original articles.
The scope of Lentera Pendidikan : Jurnal Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan are teaching and learning, education policy, development of teaching and learning theories, teacher education, and contemporary issues in education.
Lentera Pendidikan : Jurnal Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan published by Lembaga Pendidikan Tenaga Kependidikan (Teacher Training Institute) Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar in collaboration with Lecturer Consortium of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training.
Lentera Pendidikan : Jurnal Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan accept submission from all over the world. All accepted articles will be published on payment of an article-processing charge, and will be freely available to all readers with worldwide visibility and coverage.
Peer Review Process
Every manuscript submitted to Lentera Pendidikan : Jurnal Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan is independently reviewed by at least two reviewers in the form of "peer-review". It is due to increase the quality of articles. Decision for publication, amendment, or rejection is mostly based upon their reports/recommendation. In certain cases, the editor may submit an article for review to another, third reviewer before making a decision, if necessary. The Editorial Team, however, reserves the right to make the final decision on the status of the manuscript with regard to publication.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Publication Ethic
The authors must ensure that his/her manuscript does not infringe any copyright laws, and must indemnify the editors and publisher against any copyright infringement. It is the responsibility of the authors to obtain permission to use copyrighted material and provide such evidence upon submitting the manuscript.
Above all, all matters about journal publication ethics refer to "Peraturan Kepala Lembaga Ilmu Pengetahuan Indonesia Nomor 5 Tahun 2014 Tentang Kode Etika Publikasi Ilmiah" (The Rules of Indonesian Institute of Sciences Regarding of Code of Scientific Publication Ethics) as it can be downloaded here.
Publication Fee
This journal charges the following author fees.
Article Submission: 0.00 (IDR)
Authors are not required to pay an Article Submission Fee as part of the submission process to contribute to review costs.
Article Publication: 500.000.00 (IDR)
If your manuscript is accepted for publication, you will be asked to pay an Article Publication Fee to cover publication cost.
Plagiarism
Authors should submit only original work that is not plagiarized and not has been published or being considered elsewhere. Turnitin will be used by the editorial team to check for simmiliarities of submitted manuscript with existing literatures.

Lentera Pendidikan : Jurnal Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan is a change of name from Lentera Akademika, first published in 1980, then in 2013 changed the name to Lentera Pendidikan: Jurnal Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan with the p-ISSN: 1979-3472; e-ISSN: 2580-5223. Lentera Pendidikan : Jurnal Ilmu Tarbiyah dan Keguruan is published by Lembaga Pendidikan Tenaga Kependidikan (Teacher Training Institute) Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar in collaboration with Lecturer Consortium of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training.
