Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has created an abundant information landscape; however, students’ critical and ethical skills in filtering information are often lacking, making them vulnerable to disinformation. Students continue to struggle with distinguishing valid information sources and utilizing effective search tools. This study aims to examine the role of the IAIN Langsa Library in improving students' digital literacy through programs, services, and resources, and examine the relationship between student digital literacy and library efforts in improving the ability to search, evaluate, and manage digital information for academic purposes. The research method uses a literature study with a qualitative-descriptive approach, involving the collection and analysis of relevant scientific sources. The results show that the IAIN Langsa Library has made efforts to improve students' digital literacy skills in three main categories. First, through programs, including the User Education program, this program is designed to equip students to access, evaluate, and utilize digital information sources effectively and efficiently. The workshop program and digital skills development training provide insights into the latest trends in the digital world and digital literacy skills for students. The digital literacy competition program aims to motivate students to develop their creativity and technical skills, as well as to provide appreciation to students as a form of support, so that students are more enthusiastic in using technology actively. Second, the library provides various services, including on-site reading services, reference services, storage services, scientific work services, circulation services, cultural literacy services, library kids services, corner services, Gallery Library Aceh Culture (GLAC), and online administration services that facilitate free library administration activities, thesis receipts, and thesis publication delays for students. Third, the library provides adequate resources such as print and digital collections, e-resource access, and e-learning platforms that enable students to learn independently and flexibly according to their needs. Finally, the author found a positive and significant relationship between students' digital literacy skills and the library's efforts in supporting the improvement of digital information search, evaluation, and management skills. Therefore, the author recommends library collaboration with faculty and lecturers, as well as the development of digital modules and video tutorials. Institutional and library synergy is needed to design a comprehensive program to prepare information-savvy graduates in the digital era
