Effectiveness of the Thematic Literacy Community Service Program (KKN) in Enhancing Digital Literacy: A Case Study of Sei Mencirim Village, Deli Serdang Regency

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Thematic Literacy Community Service Program in improving digital literacy in Sei Mencirim Village, Deli Serdang Regency. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with a sampling technique, namely purposive sampling. Data collection technique through a Likert scale questionnaire from 393 respondents. The results of the study indicate that the Thematic Literacy KKN Program in Sei Mencirim Village, Deli Serdang Regency was implemented effectively with indicator achievements in the high to very high category with an average score of 3.31. The level of digital literacy of the community is also in the high to very high category with an average score of 3.31, characterized by the ability to search, browse, evaluate, and process digital information critically. The test results show that the Thematic Literacy KKN has a positive and significant effect on increasing the digital literacy of the community, with a contribution of 48%, while 52% is influenced by other factors outside the research model. This finding confirms that the Thematic Literacy KKN is effective as a community empowerment model in increasing digital literacy capacity.
