Author Guidelines

  1. Topics to be published by the Vox Populi journal must match the focus and scope.
  2. The manuscript is written in standard Indonesian or English, has never been published, and is free from elements of plagiarism.
  3. The manuscript is typed on a computer using Microsoft Word, on paper measuring 17 cm x 21 cm, font Size 11 pt, 1 spacing, Garamond.
  4. The number of words ranges from 4500 - 7000 words. Articles that have more words than that but are deemed necessary to be known by the public will be considered and published after obtaining approval from the Editor Team.
  5. Tables and figures must be identified in the form of serial numbers and titles of tables or figures that match the contents of the table or figure and are accompanied by the source of the quotation.
  6. The editor has the right to reject manuscripts that do not meet the technical criteria/requirements, make changes to the composition of the manuscript, correct the language, and consult with the author before the manuscript is published.
  7. Systematics of script writing, consisting of:
    • Title
      Title should be concise, clear, maximum 14 words (13pt).
    • Author Name, Institution, and Email
      The author's name is written below the title before the abstract without being accompanied by an academic degree or another title, the origin of the institution where the author belongs, and the email address for correspondence.
    • Abstract and Keywords
      The abstract contains the formulation of the problem, objectives, methods, theories, and research results/conclusions. Make sure all of them are made as concise and clear as possible. Abstracts use Indonesian/English with a word count of around 100-150 words. Abstract is written in 1 space, font size 9 pt.
    • Introduction
      The introduction should clearly describe the background of the problem and include the question to be answered in the discussion. In this section, the author must provide arguments about the importance of the research. As well as systematically describing the results of research that has been carried out by previous researchers that are relevant to the research being conducted. This section contains the strengths and weaknesses of previous research that can be used as an argument that the research being done is perfecting or developing previous research. Here it is also necessary to emphasise the novelty of the author's research.
      This section also contains the theoretical basis for the research, and contains an explanation of the basic concepts and principles needed to solve the problem.
      Foreign terms are italicised. The manuscript is written 1 space and uses Garamond font with font size 11 pt. Any citation of other people's papers must use bodynote (APA style-7th edition) and use Mendeley (11pt).
    • MethodThis section describes the research methods that will be used, including the research design and approach, data collection and analysis techniques. (11pt) 
    • Discussion
      In this section, the research results are comprehensively explained. If there are tables and figures, or other figures in the manuscript, they are placed sime-tris in the centre. See Templates.
    • Conclusion
      The conclusion adapts to what is expected in the introduction section above. This section should be as short and clear as possible.(11pt)
    • Reference
      Reference list of at least 15 pieces of literature of which at least 50% are published in the last 5 years. Use Mendeley or Microsoft Word's built-in References. The reference style uses the APA style.
    • Acknowledgements (11pt) (If required)

    • Statement of Authenticity (11pt)

      Contains a statement from the author stating that the article is the author's original work, the article is free from plagiarism, all references are included in the article, and a statement that the article has not been published and is not being submitted to other journals.

    • References (11pt)

      Use Mendeley. Reference sources should be at least 20 references and 75% should come from scientific journals/books published in the last five years.
