About the Journal
Vox Populi (VP) is a periodical journal published twice a year (June and December) by the Department of Political Science, Faculty of Ushuluddin, Philosophy and Politics, Universitas Islam Negeri Alauddin Makassar, Indonesia. Vox Populi was first published in 2010 in a print edition. Initially, this journal was intended for lecturers, academics, researchers, and the general public. However, for one reason or another, this journal no longer publishes subsequent editions.
Since 2019, Vox Populi has resumed publishing academic research works that are considered important for the public to know. Starting Volume 2 Issue 1 June 2019, Vox Populi is available online (OJS). On 9 December 2021, Vox Populi has been accredited SINTA 5 based on Certificate No. 158/e/kpt/2021: 158/E/KPT/2021.
On 21 March 2025, from Volume 6 Issue 2 Year 2023 to Volume 11 Issue 1 Year 2028, Vox Populi has been accredited SINTA 4 based on the Decree of the Director General of Strengthening Research and Development of the Ministry of Research, Science and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, Number 10/C/C3/DT.05.00/2025.
About the Article Template
In 2022, to improve the quality of articles and make it easier to edit manuscripts, the editor of Vox Populi still maintains the old template but changes the style of writing references to APA Style. This change was implemented in Volume 5 Number 2 Year 2022. This was done to facilitate the work of writers and editors.
In 2025, Vox Populi changed the overall article template. These changes include, additions: Article History and Statement of Authenticity from the author. Likewise, the writing structure is simpler, namely: Title, Abstract, Introduction, Method, Discussion and Conclusion.
About the Editor
In 2023, Vox Populi added one editor from Universitas Cenderawasih Papua.
About Reviewers
Initially, the Journal of Prophetic Politics was dominated by internal reviewers until 2020. Starting in 2021, the Journal of Prophetic Politics gradually involves external bestary partners.
In 2022, adding reviewers from Universiti Utara Malaysia, Malaysia, Maejo University, Thailand, Shandong University, China, and UIN Datokarama Palu.
In 2023, add reviewers from Universitas Negeri Semarang and Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta, Indonesia
Currently, there are a total of 15 reviewers from 2 continents and 4 countries (Thailand, Malaysia, China, and Indonesia). The reviewers come from institutions, namely:
