PRESTASI BELAJAR MAHASISWA ANTARA LULUSAN MADRASAH ALIYAH DAN LULUSAN SEKOLAH UMUM (Studi Komparasi pada Prodi PGMI Fak. Tarbiyah dan Keguruan UIN Alauddin Makassar)

Abstract


Abstrak: Penelitian ini berkenaan dengan prestasi belajar mahasiswa antara lulusan madrasah aliyah dan lulusan sekolah umum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan prestasi belajar mahasiswa antara lulusan Madrasah Aliyah dan lulusan Sekolah Umum pada Prodi PGMI Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan UIN Alauddin Makassar terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar. Sumber data penelitian ini terdiri dari dokumentasi Prodi PGMI, mahasiswa PGMI, pegawai, dan dosen Fakultas Tarbiyah UIN Alauddin Makassar sebagai informan. Pengumpulan data mempergunakan wawancara, dokumentasi, dan observasi. Teknik analisis/pengolahan data menggunakan 3 cara, yaitu: reduksi data, display data, dan verifikasi data. Untuk mengukur validitas instrumen digunakan rumus Pearson product moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa Prodi PGMI Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Keguruan UIN Alauddin Makassar pada aspek kognitif tidak mempunyai perbedaan yang menonjol antara lulusan SMU dan MA, tergantung dari tingkat ketekunan, intelegensi, minat, dan motivasi mahasiswa tersebut. Tetapi, pada ranah afektif terlihat perbedaan yang menonjol antara lulusan SMA dan MA. Lulusan MA lebih menampakkan sikap dan karakter yang baik seperti bertutur kata, bersikap, mandiri, dan toleran.

Abstract: This study concerning with the achievement of the Graduate Students between Madrasah Aliyah and Public School. This study aimed at describing the achievement of PGMI students graduated from Madrasah Aliyah and the Public Schools at the Teaching and Teacher Training Faculty, UIN Alauddin Makassar. The data source of this research consists of documentation from PGMI departement in academic year 2011/2012. The source of the data were the student, the employees, and the lecturers. The data collected using interview, documentation, and observation. The data analyzed using three ways, namely: data reduction, data display, and data verification. To measure the validity of the instruments Pearson product moment formula was used. The results showed that the students of PGMI department at Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculty UIN Alauddin Makassar on cognitive aspects have no difference between the students graduated from the high school and Madrasah Aliyah, depending on the level of perseverance, intelligence, interest, and motivation of the student. However, in the affective domain, there was an obvious differences between the high school and Madrasah Aliyah graduates, where the graduates from Madrasah Aliyah was better in their attitudes and good character such as speech, attitude, independent and tolerant.
