Publication Ethics
DINUNA Journal of Religious Studies is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. The editorial process is guided by principles of integrity, fairness, and transparency in all stages of manuscript handling, from submission to publication.
- Author Responsibilities
- Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are original, have not been published elsewhere, and are not under consideration by another journal.
- Proper citation of all sources is required. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable.
- Authors must disclose any potential conflict of interest that may influence the results or interpretation of their work.
- All contributors listed as authors must have made substantial contributions to the research and writing.
- Editorial Responsibilities
- Editors are responsible for making publication decisions based solely on academic merit, relevance, and originality.
- All submitted manuscripts are treated confidentially and assessed impartially, regardless of the authors’ background or affiliations.
- Editors must take appropriate action when ethical concerns are raised regarding a submitted or published paper.
- Reviewer Responsibilities
- Reviewers must conduct evaluations objectively and confidentially. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate.
- Reviewers must notify the editors if they detect plagiarism, ethical misconduct, or conflicts of interest.
- Any privileged information obtained through the review process must not be used for personal advantage.
- Publishing Integrity
- DINUNA adheres to the principles outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Suspected cases of ethical violations—such as plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate publication, or reviewer impersonation—will be investigated thoroughly and handled accordingly.
- Retractions or corrections will be issued if necessary to maintain the scholarly record.
