Character education is a crucial aspect of shaping students' attitudes and behaviors from the elementary school level. However, monotonous instruction often leads to low student motivation, participation, and understanding of character values. This community service initiative aimed to strengthen students' character and leadership qualities through the "Ma’guru" program—which utilizes a "fun teaching" approach—at SDN 089 Cina in Wajo Regency. The implementation employed an interactive educational approach comprising ice-breaking activities, educational games, group discussions, material presentation, Q&A sessions, and learning reflections. The program spanned six days and targeted elementary school students. Evaluation was conducted through participant observation, activity documentation, and simple pre- and post-program assessments. The results demonstrated improved student understanding regarding discipline, responsibility, the courage to express opinions, teamwork skills, and leadership. The average understanding score rose from 44.6 at the initial stage to 82.8 following the activities, representing an average increase of 46.28%. Furthermore, students exhibited positive changes, including increased self-confidence, greater engagement in learning, and improved communication and collaboration skills with peers. These findings indicate that the "fun teaching" approach is effective in creating an enjoyable learning atmosphere while simultaneously fostering character and leadership development among elementary school students. The Ma’guru program offers an innovative alternative for community service initiatives aimed at supporting character education in elementary schools.
