Extensive Communications for Increasing Community Awareness in Handling Waste (Disposable Diapers): A Bibliometric Study

Abstract

Diaper waste has become a new phenomenon in the handling of urban and rural waste. This type of waste cannot be decomposed by the soil in a short time and pollutes the water environment if it is dumped into the river. This study aims to explain the effectiveness of counseling communication to increase public awareness in the management of pospak waste (disposable diapers). This quantitative description research uses bibliometric analysis. The aim is to obtain new information on the study of extension communication to increase public awareness of the management of pospak waste. Data collection was carried out using two publisher sources, namely Google Scholar and Crossref. Articles from both sources are obtained through Publish or Perish. The collected data is then analyzed using VOS Viewer. The results of the study indicate that counseling communication is still an interesting topic in increasing public awareness. The importance of communication in handling waste is included in cluster 5. While public awareness in handling waste is included in cluster 3. The study of "Waste Management" is a point of attention of researchers which can be found in 8 clusters on research topics.
