Conflict of Interest

Qadauna: Jurnal Ilmiah Mahasiswa Hukum Keluarga Islam is committed to ensuring transparency, objectivity, and integrity throughout the scholarly publication process by preventing and appropriately managing potential conflicts of interest. A conflict of interest may arise when personal, financial, professional, institutional, or other relationships could influence, or reasonably be perceived to influence, the impartiality of authors, reviewers, or editors.

All authors are required to disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest that may affect the interpretation, evaluation, or publication of their research, including financial support, institutional affiliations, personal relationships, and other competing interests.

Reviewers must promptly inform the editorial team of any circumstances that could compromise their independence or objectivity and should decline review assignments when such conflicts cannot be appropriately managed. Editors are also required to disclose relevant conflicts of interest and refrain from participating in editorial decisions involving manuscripts in which they have personal, professional, or financial interests.

In cases where conflicts of interest are identified, the Editor-in-Chief will implement appropriate measures, such as assigning independent reviewers or transferring editorial responsibilities to another qualified editor. The journal follows the ethical principles and best practices recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) to ensure that all manuscripts are evaluated fairly, transparently, and exclusively on the basis of their academic quality, originality, and scholarly contribution. Authors must include a conflict-of-interest declaration in their manuscripts, even when no competing interests exist. Failure to disclose relevant conflicts of interest may result in editorial investigation and appropriate corrective actions, including rejection, correction, or retraction when warranted.

Through this policy, Qadauna: Jurnal Ilmiah Mahasiswa Hukum Keluarga Islam seeks to uphold public trust, academic accountability, and the credibility of scholarly publications in Islamic family law and related legal disciplines.
