Peer Review Process
SAINFIS (Sains Fisika) applies a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and scientific validity of all published manuscripts. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers are kept confidential to maintain objectivity and minimize potential bias.
Each manuscript submitted to the journal undergoes the following review stages:
- Initial Editorial Screening
The Editor-in-Chief or assigned Section Editor conducts an initial evaluation to assess the manuscript’s conformity with the journal’s scope, focus, writing guidelines, and ethical standards. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected at this stage without external review.
- Plagiarism Check
All manuscripts that pass the initial screening are examined using plagiarism detection software to ensure originality and compliance with publication ethics.
- Peer Review
Manuscripts are then sent to at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise in the subject area. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on scientific quality, novelty, methodology, clarity of presentation, relevance, and contribution to the field of physics.
- Reviewer Recommendations
Based on the reviewers’ reports, the editor will make one of the following decisions:
- Accept without revision
- Accept with minor revision
- Accept with major revision
- Reject
- Revision Process
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to the reviewers’ comments and provide a response to each point raised. Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated by the reviewers if necessary.
- Final Decision
The final decision regarding publication is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the quality of the revised manuscript.
The editorial board ensures that all submitted manuscripts are reviewed fairly, objectively, and confidentially. This peer review process is designed to uphold the integrity and academic standards of SAINFIS as a scholarly journal in physics and its applications.
