JOURNAL HISTORY
Teknosains: Media Informasi Sains dan Teknologi was first published in 2007 in print format, with a publication frequency of two issues per volume, released in July and December each year. The journal was established to disseminate scientific research in the fields of science and technology under the Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Alauddin Makassar.
In 2011, starting from Volume 5, the journal transitioned to online publication, expanding its reach and accessibility. That same year, Teknosains: Media Informasi Sains dan Teknologi registered its print ISSN (1979-3154), marking a step toward formal recognition and indexing. In 2019, the journal obtained its electronic ISSN (2657-036X), further strengthening its digital presence and compliance with academic publishing standards.
Since 2020, Teknosains: Media Informasi Sains dan Teknologi has been officially accredited as SINTA 4 by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, recognizing its quality and contribution to scholarly communication. Beginning in 2021, the journal increased its publication frequency from twice a year to three times annually, with issues released in the periods of January–April, May–August, and September–December, to accommodate a growing number of submissions and accelerate the dissemination of scientific knowledge.
