Author Guidelines

Authors who wish to submit manuscripts to ComWel: International Journal of Economic and Business Empowerment are required to follow the guidelines below to ensure consistency and quality in the publication process.

General Requirements

Manuscripts must be original works that have not been previously published and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Submissions may include original research articles, review articles, conceptual papers, case studies, and reports on community empowerment activities relevant to the journal’s focus and scope.

Manuscripts should be written in clear and concise English. Authors are encouraged to ensure that the language used is grammatically correct and suitable for academic publication.

Manuscript Structure

A manuscript should generally consist of the following sections:

  • Title
  • Author(s) Name and Affiliation
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • Introduction
  • Method
  • Results and Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Acknowledgments (optional)
  • References

Title

The title should be concise, informative, and accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.

Abstract and Keywords

The abstract should clearly describe the purpose, methodology, results, and conclusions of the study. It should be written in a single paragraph and contain approximately 150–250 words. Authors should provide three to five keywords that represent the main topics of the manuscript.

Formatting Requirements

The manuscript should be prepared using Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx). Authors are encouraged to use the journal template provided on the journal website. The manuscript should be typed using a readable font, with consistent formatting throughout the document.

References

References should include only sources cited in the manuscript. Authors are encouraged to use recent and relevant references from reputable academic sources. References should be managed using reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.

The journal accepts references formatted according to the APA (American Psychological Association) style or another citation style specified by the editorial board.

Tables and Figures

Tables and figures should be clearly numbered and titled. They must be cited in the text and placed as close as possible to their first mention. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted materials when necessary.

Ethical Considerations

Authors must ensure that their manuscripts comply with ethical research standards. Research involving human participants, animals, or sensitive data should include evidence of ethical approval where applicable.

Plagiarism Screening

All submitted manuscripts will be screened using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts containing plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or other forms of academic misconduct may be rejected without review.

Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system. Authors are required to complete all metadata information during submission, including author details, abstract, keywords, and references.

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening followed by a double-blind peer review process. The editorial board reserves the right to reject manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s standards or fall outside its focus and scope.

Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright of their work while granting the journal the right of first publication. Published articles will be distributed according to the journal’s licensing policy.

Revision and Acceptance

Authors may be requested to revise their manuscripts based on comments and recommendations from editors and reviewers. Acceptance of a manuscript is determined by the editorial board based on its academic quality, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
