Screening for Plagiarism Policy

ComWel: International Journal of Economic and Business Empowerment is committed to maintaining academic integrity and ensuring the originality of all published works. To uphold high ethical standards in scholarly publishing, all submitted manuscripts are subject to plagiarism screening before entering the peer-review process.

The journal does not tolerate plagiarism in any form, including direct plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, and inappropriate citation practices. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their submissions are original and that all sources are properly cited and referenced.

Each manuscript is screened using plagiarism detection software to identify similarities with previously published works and other available sources. The editorial team evaluates the similarity report to determine whether the detected similarities are acceptable academic overlaps, such as references, quotations, methodological descriptions, or commonly used terminology.

Manuscripts found to contain significant plagiarism or unethical publication practices may be rejected immediately without proceeding to peer review. In cases where minor issues are identified, authors may be requested to revise the manuscript and address the concerns before further consideration.

If plagiarism or other forms of publication misconduct are discovered after publication, the journal reserves the right to take appropriate corrective actions, including publishing corrections, issuing retractions, or removing the article from the journal record when necessary.

The editorial board follows internationally recognized publication ethics standards and guidelines, including those established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), to ensure transparency, fairness, and integrity throughout the publication process.

Through this policy, ComWel seeks to promote responsible research practices and maintain the quality, credibility, and scholarly value of all published articles.
