Correction and Retraction
Al GIZZAI: Public Health Nutrition Journal is committed to maintaining the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of the scientific record.

Corrections may be issued when errors are identified in published articles that do not significantly affect the validity of the research findings or conclusions. These may include:
-
Errors in data presentation, tables, figures, or statistical reporting.
-
Incorrect author information or affiliations.
-
Inaccurate or incomplete acknowledgments and disclosures.
-
Other substantive errors requiring clarification.
A formal correction notice will be published and linked to the original article to ensure transparency.
2. Retractions
Articles may be retracted when serious errors or ethical violations compromise the reliability or integrity of the published research, including:
-
Data fabrication, falsification, or manipulation.
-
Plagiarism or substantial duplicate publication.
-
Serious methodological errors invalidating research findings.
-
Unethical research practices or compromised peer review.
-
Other significant violations of publication ethics.
Retraction decisions will be made by the Editor-in-Chief following appropriate assessment and COPE guidelines.
3. Expression of Concern
An Expression of Concern may be issued when credible concerns about a published article arise but the available evidence is inconclusive or an investigation remains ongoing.
The notice will inform readers of the concerns while further clarification or investigation is conducted.
4. Investigation and Editorial Procedures
Authors, reviewers, and readers may report suspected errors or misconduct to the editorial office. The editorial team will assess the concerns objectively, provide authors with an opportunity to respond, and consult relevant institutions or experts when necessary.
Editorial decisions will be based on the available evidence and the severity of the identified issues.
5. Publication and Transparency
All correction, retraction, and Expression of Concern notices will be clearly identified, publicly accessible, and linked to the original articles.
Retracted articles will remain accessible in the journal's archive with a prominent "Retracted" label to preserve the scholarly record. Article removal will be considered only in exceptional circumstances involving legal obligations, privacy violations, or serious risks of harm.
