Article Publication Charge

Contemporary English Teaching and Linguistics (CETL) is a fully open access journal committed to ensuring that high-quality research in English teaching, linguistics, and applied linguistics is freely accessible to readers worldwide. To support inclusivity and remove financial barriers for authors, the journal does not impose any submission charges, article processing charges (APCs), or publication fees at any stage of the publishing process.

Submission Fees

Authors are not required to pay any fees at the point of submission. Manuscripts are received, screened, and processed without financial obligation, ensuring that all researchers, regardless of institutional or geographical background, can submit their work for consideration.

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

Unlike many open access journals that rely on APCs to cover editorial and production costs, CETL operates under a no-APC policy. Accepted articles are published in open access format without requiring authors to pay any processing or publication fee. This policy reflects the journal’s commitment to equitable knowledge dissemination and the removal of economic barriers to scholarly communication.

Editorial and Publishing Support

All aspects of the editorial process, including initial screening, plagiarism checking, double-blind peer review, copyediting, DOI registration, online hosting, indexing, and long-term digital archiving, are provided free of charge. Authors are not required to pay for formatting services as these are fully managed by the journal.

Funding Model

CETL is supported through institutional backing, editorial contributions, and partnerships with academic stakeholders who value open knowledge sharing. This funding model enables the journal to sustain its operations while maintaining a fee-free publication system for authors.

Accessibility and Equity

The no-fee policy reflects CETL’s mission to make scholarly research more inclusive and globally accessible. Authors from under-resourced institutions, developing countries, and early-career researchers are not excluded from publishing opportunities due to financial constraints. In this way, the journal contributes to equitable participation in global academic dialogue.

Transparency and Integrity

In line with COPE and DOAJ transparency standards, CETL commits to maintaining a clear and consistent no-fee policy. Authors will never be asked for hidden charges, fast-track fees, or additional costs for color figures, supplementary files, or digital dissemination.
