About the Journal

EcceS: Economics, Social, and Development Studies is a scholarly journal dedicated to examining critical economic issues across Southeast Asia, providing in-depth analysis of regional social economic issue, development challenges and policy impacts. With a focus on both emerging and established economies in the ASEAN region, offering valuable insights for academics, policymakers, and industry leaders. By fostering rigorous research and dialogue, Ecces aims to contribute to evidence-based solutions that address the unique socioeconomic complexities of Southeast Asia while promoting equitable and inclusive progress in the region. The scope of Ecces includes, but is not limited to the research results of political economy, sociology economy, economic development, intitutional economy, macroeconomics, microeconomics, monetary economics, public economics, digital economics, banking and finance, industrial economics, international economics, environmental and energy economics, agricultural economics, health economics, microenterprises and microfinance, regional economics.

Ecces is a scientific journal which has been publishing scholarly papers since 2014. This journal is published in 2 (two) editions every year in June and December by Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business (FEBI) UIN Alauddin Makassar, Indonesia.  Ecces specializes in Economics and is intended to communicate original research and current issues on the subject. This journal welcomes quantitative and qualitative articles that demonstrate a rigorous approach to methodology and analysis. The journal only accepts research-based papers, literature/library researches regarding the covered fields. All submitted papers will firstly review by journal editors and if it was matched with the journal scope, the paper will be then sent to our peer-reviewers. Ecces has been accredited by the National Journal Accreditation body (ARJUNA) by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of the Republic of Indonesia, with a grade of Sinta 2 based on the Decree of the Director General of Research and Development Strengthening Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education of Indonesia, Number 0173/C3/DT.05.00/2025. Regarding the Scientific Journal Accreditation Ranking Period I  2025, from volume 10 number 1 of 2023 to volume 14 number 2 of 2027.
